Assessment
Claude is creeping into parts of this workflow from both sides.
It can already help with vendor onboarding, procurement assistance, market sizing, marketing analysis, and enterprise marketplaces. That means Anthropic can plausibly eat the software layer around research, shortlisting, comparison, and internal decision support.
But Markiply's main wedge is not raw reasoning. It is verified truth acquisition in a market built on bullshit. Claude does not magically have access to independently confirmed agency outcomes, trusted references, or relationship-driven validation data.
So: not cooked, but definitely in the blast radius. If Markiply becomes mostly a smart search and comparison UI on top of semi-public agency claims, Claude will flatten it. If it truly captures hard-to-replicate verification data, it stays alive.
Biggest historical hit
Biggest hit: Claude Marketplace (limited preview) — announced on 2026-03-06.
This is the closest direct threat because Markiply is fundamentally a procurement and discovery product. Once Anthropic starts building enterprise marketplaces and procurement surfaces, it moves from "general-purpose model vendor" into the same budget line and workflow.
That said, the overlap is still partial. Claude Marketplace appears aimed at AI tool procurement, not verified selection of external marketing agencies. So it attacks the surrounding buying motion, not the proprietary agency-truth layer itself.
What still protects them
The only real protection here is exclusive data and trust infrastructure.
If Markiply can actually build:
- a defensible network of CMOs and buyers who share real outcomes,
- repeatable verification processes,
- agency-level performance histories unavailable on the open web,
- local market trust in Israel that depends on relationships,
then Claude is just the reasoning engine, not the product.
What will not protect them:
- generic agency search,
- AI-written summaries of agencies,
- comparison tables built from public websites,
- unverified review content.
In other words: if the moat is real, they have a company. If the moat is mostly a pitch deck phrase, Claude and every other model layer will turn this into a feature.

Why this is in the blast radius
Introducing the Claude Marketplace, a way for enterprises to simplify their procurement of AI tools
X / @claudeai · 2026-03-06
Inside blast radiusDirect workflow overlap.
Markiply is a procurement and discovery product for marketing agencies; Claude Marketplace is a procurement and discovery surface for AI tools. Different vendor category, same buyer motion:
- evaluate options,
- simplify purchasing,
- reduce selection friction.
If Anthropic expands this marketplace logic beyond AI tools, Markiply is squarely exposed on the software layer around vendor discovery and selection.
With Cowork you can onboard new vendors at scale

Inside blast radiusRelevant overlap in procurement operations.
Vendor onboarding is downstream from agency selection, but it sits in the same enterprise workflow. Markiply wants to help buyers move from fragmented agency market to trusted shortlist and selection; Claude is already being positioned for vendor onboarding automation.
That weakens any part of Markiply that depends on workflow glue rather than proprietary intelligence.

Inside blast radiusPartial overlap on buyer-side marketing intelligence.
Markiply is not a TAM calculator, but buyers evaluating agencies often need market context, category sizing, and channel opportunity framing. Claude handling marketing sizing means it can increasingly support the analytical work around agency procurement.
Still, this does not replace verified agency performance data. It overlaps with analysis, not truth collection.

Inside blast radiusIndirect but serious channel threat.
Anthropic is explicitly mobilizing consultancies, specialist AI firms, and agencies around Claude adoption. That increases the odds that service providers build Claude-powered discovery, benchmarking, and procurement tools themselves.
It does not directly duplicate Markiply's agency verification dataset, but it strengthens the ecosystem that could route around Markiply with broad enterprise distribution.
Claude now works better with the office tools you already use... Claude in Excel... Claude in PowerPoint
Anthropic news · 2026-04-11
Inside blast radiusAttacks the decision-support layer.
A lot of vendor comparison work still happens in spreadsheets and slides. Claude in Excel and PowerPoint makes it easier for teams to ingest messy data, structure comparisons, build scorecards, and produce agency recommendation decks without buying separate software.
That is a real threat to Markiply's presentation and analysis layer, but not to a proprietary verified dataset if one exists.

Outside blast radiusMostly adjacent, not core overlap.
This helps marketers and teams generate polished visual work, prototypes, slides, and one-pagers. Useful for agencies and buyers, sure, but it does not solve agency verification, reference validation, or procurement intelligence.
At most, it commoditizes some collateral-production tasks around the market. It does not kill the core proposed business.
