There is still a possible moat, but it is narrower than the founders probably want to admit.
Potential protection:
- Real-estate-specific schemas for leases, PSAs, title commitments, estoppels, and closing packages.
- Human-trust workflow: review queues, confidence scores, exception handling, audit trails, redlines, and sign-off steps.
- Integrations into CRE deal rooms, document repositories, and transaction management systems.
- Accumulated labeled data from prior transactions that improve extraction quality on weird, non-standard documents.
- Operational embedding inside diligence and closing process, where buyers care more about reliability than model novelty.
If Asset OS owns that layer, Claude is an engine, not a replacement.
If they do not, then Claude plus a competent implementation partner can rebuild most of the product disturbingly fast.
